Does age go company play a role at all?

mercredi 1 avril 2015

Hi guys,

I have an old company that i am considering to wind down. This has been inactive for a few years now.

My main business/company is still active and is my main trading company.

Is it worthwhile to keep the company for future property/development opportunities. are there any benefits of having an "established" entity vs opening a new one?

Does age go company play a role at all?

Oh my wordy, lordy yes, Janelle.

I noticed that I am coming up to my 12th year on the forum this month.

This place is such a wealth of knowledge and experience, it is unrivaled. I am especially lucky because I get to meet in person or at least talk on the phone to members regularly. I am yet to meet anyone in person or talk on the phone to a somersoftian and been left wishing I haven't Everyone is always friendly and you get something out of every conversation.

So would really like to say thanks to the Somers for paying the bills, Sim for running the show, the moderators for keeping us in line and also to the somersoftians who contribute so much to this place.

I am lucky in that both my businesses are property related and I get to talk property everyday. But I am still on here reading almost everyday, everyday for 12 year is testament to just how valuable the knowledge and experience of the people on here are.

Thanks

Hi all. Where do members consider Melbourne and Brisbane to be in the current cycle? Is it fair to say that Melbourne prices are still generally rising but are close to peak and that Brisbane is rising but is nowhere near peaking?

Looking for 1st IP. CG strategy. Keen on 5-10 year old houses in middle ring suburbs.

Replacing Leaking Shower Piping In Rental

Hi all,

So 3 times over the past 6 months I've had a leaking shower tap in one of my rentals.

I had the same company out all three times to fix the problem. The second time they didn't charge me as I said it's covered by warranty. The problem is the third time they went out they told me the shower breech needs replacing as the tap seat can not be resurfaced as it is to thin.

This means ripping off the tiles, drilling into the concrete and replacing the breech piping.

The annoying thing which I'll be complaining to them about is they knew the second time it is only a temporary fix but didn't tell me until yesterday when I had to get them out to temporary fix the problem again, which they charged me.

Has anyone had to do this while tenants are in the property and do you know a rough cost and time frame?

I'm going to get another plumber out to confirm this is the problem.
